Resources

The health form, the right uniform, and how fundraising helps.

Health form

Annual Health and Medical Record

Every youth and adult who takes part in a Scouting America activity fills this out. Update it at least once a year, and give the completed paper copy to the pack.

The official form

Scouting America publishes the form. Pack 13 links to it instead of keeping a copy, so you always get the current PDF. Part A is the consent. Part B is the health history. Part C is the physical exam.

Meetings, day events, and weekend trips under 72 hours use Parts A and B. Camps and other events of 72 hours or more also need Part C.

Download the PDF and fill it on your computer. Save that file so you can update it and print a fresh copy when the pack needs one. A form filled in by hand is harder to keep current.

Both buttons open a PDF from Scouting America in a new tab. The Annual Health and Medical Record page explains which parts you need.

Uniform

The Cub Scout uniform

Start with the official shirt for your child’s grade. The pictures show the full uniform the Scout Shop sells for that grade.

Official Lion uniform: navy Lion T-shirt, cap, blue bottoms, belt, socks, and the yellow Lion neckerchief.

Lion, Kindergarten

Official Tiger uniform: navy button shirt, orange-front cap, blue shorts, belt, socks, and the orange Tiger neckerchief.

Tiger, 1st grade

Official Wolf uniform: navy button shirt, red-front cap, blue shorts, belt, socks, and the red Wolf neckerchief.

Wolf, 2nd grade

Official Bear uniform: navy button shirt, light-blue-front cap, blue pants, belt, socks, and the light blue Bear neckerchief.

Bear, 3rd grade

Official Webelos uniform: navy button shirt, plaid cap, blue pants, belt, socks, and the plaid Webelos neckerchief.

Webelos, 4th grade

Official Arrow of Light uniform: tan shirt, green cap, green pants, green belt, green socks, and a dark neckerchief.

Arrow of Light, 5th grade

These pictures are from the Scout Shop. Each one includes that rank’s neckerchief and slide. Pack 13 wears one neckerchief and one slide for every grade. They are specific to this pack. We don’t have a photo of them here yet.

The shirt for each grade

Lion, kindergarten. The official navy Lion T-shirt.

Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos, 1st through 4th grade. The navy button shirt.

Arrow of Light, 5th grade. The tan Scouts BSA shirt, with blue shoulder loops. The picture shows it with green Scouts BSA pants.

A navy button shirt can move from Tiger through Webelos if it still fits. Lion and Arrow of Light each need their own shirt.

Ask your den leader for the Pack 13 neckerchief and slide. Skip the rank neckerchief and slide in the pictures.

The Scout Shop also sells pants, a belt, a cap, and socks. Ask your den leader which of those Pack 13 wears to meetings. Council and pack patches go on the shirt after you have it. Your den leader can show you the Rainbow Council patch, the Pack 13 numbers, and where they sit.

The button opens the official online Scout Shop in a new tab. The shop sets prices and what is in stock. Buy the pieces your den leader named. The shop’s uniform guide lists every piece by rank.

Fundraising

How fundraising helps

Fundraising is optional. When your Scout takes part, what they earn goes toward their pack dues first. Now and then the pack runs a fundraiser for a special event, to cover a cost families shouldn’t have to carry. We’ll say so when we do.

Popcorn

The pack’s popcorn sale.

Evergreens

Holiday greenery sold before the holidays.

Butter Braids

Pastries families order and pick up.

RaiseRight

Gift cards for places you already shop.

Restaurant nights

Now and then a local restaurant partners with the pack for a no-cook night.

Rather not sell?

A buyout is an option instead. Email [email protected] for the amount.

If cost is a concern

Talk with us privately. We want every Scout to be able to take part.
